The day after the city championship, Banks started practicing with his new rookie team [2 first year players from each of the Minor B teams]. They played in a 4 game tournament against 2 Hartselle and 2 Athens teams ending up with a 2-2 record. Banks shared the catchers position with his friend Eppes. During a game against one of the Athens teams, Banks made a fabulous play by tagging a runner out who was trying to come home. They ended up winning that game by only 1 run!
We now have a few weeks off from baseball before practices start for his fall baseball team.
